Uniform and Appearance Policy and Requirements

The Charlottesville Catholic School uniform is required for Grades K-8. No uniform is required for children in the Pre-Kindergarten program.

• Middle school students now have the option of wearing dark (black/brown/blue) sneakers with slacks/skirts (except on formal days).
• Flat front slacks are now an option along with the pleated version.
• PE Uniforms will now be purchased through the school store and not Rose Uniforms. (Students can continue to wear ones that have been purchased from Rose, but all new ones will be purchased through the school.)

Uniform Suppliers

Our uniform suppliers are Rose Uniforms and Lands' End. Due to the desire for consistency, there are some items that can only be purchased from Rose Uniforms. (see specific requirements for details.) Unless it is specified that an item can be purchased at any store, all items must come from the required supplier.

Options Overview

This table gives a basic overview of the uniform, please see the specific requirements pages to get full details on allowed clothing.

Elementary Girls (Grades K-5)	- Plaid jumper with white blouse (required on formal days) - Navy Slacks with white blouse or white polo shirt - Summer option (April 1 - October 31): Navy shorts with white polo or white blouse
Middle School Girls (Grades 6-8)	- Plaid Skirt with blue oxford shirt (required on formal days) - Navy slacks with blue oxford or white polo shirt - Summer option (April 1 - October 31): Navy skort with blue oxford or white polo shirt
Boys - All grades	- Navy slacks and white oxford or white polo shirt (slacks/oxford and tie required on formal days) - Summer option (April 1 - October 31): Navy shorts with white oxford or white polo shirt

Additional PE uniform is required for Grades 5-8

Formal Dress Days:
These days include "Whole School Mass" days, picture days, and when VIP visitors are in the building. The administration will notify parents in advance of these days.

Girls K-5 Formal: Jumper, white blouse, tights or blue knee high socks

Girls 6-8 Formal: Skirt, blue blouse, tights (knee highs allowed April-October), dress shoes

Boys K-8 Formal: Blue slacks, white oxford, tie (grades 6-8 must wear dress shoes)
